What Is Blended First Aid Training?

Blended learning splits your course in two. First, you complete the Canadian Red Cross theory online, at home, at your own pace. Then you come to our Mississauga centre for a single in-person skills day to practise CPR, AED, and hands-on techniques with an instructor. You finish with the same Red Cross certification as a fully in-class course — just with less time spent in the classroom.

Blended vs. Fully In-Class — Which Should You Pick?

Choose Blended if…

  • You're working or busy and want to do the reading on your own schedule
  • You'd rather spend only one day on-site
  • You're comfortable completing online modules before class

Choose Fully In-Class if…

  • You prefer to learn everything in person, in one sitting
  • You'd rather not do online modules at home
  • You learn best with an instructor for the whole course

Blended First Aid & CPR Mississauga — Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the blended course take?

It depends on the course:

  • Standard First Aid: 7 hrs online + 8 hrs in-class
  • Emergency First Aid: 4 hrs online + 4 hrs in-class
  • CPR-C AED: 3 hrs online + 3 hrs in-class
  • Recertification: 7–8 hrs in-class only

You complete the online portion at your own pace before your scheduled in-class day.

Is this WSIB & Red Cross approved?

Yes all courses are Canadian Red Cross certified and WSIB / Ontario First Aid Regulation (O.Reg 1101) approved, meeting Ontario workplace compliance requirements.

Which CPR level is included?

CPR-C with AED is included in all First Aid courses. A stand-alone CPR-C AED course is also available for those who only need CPR certification.
