Emergency First Aid is a one-day blended course covering foundational first aid skills — CPR/AED, bleeding control, choking, basic wound care, burns, and shock. It is suitable for lower-risk workplaces and individuals. Standard First Aid is a two-day course that adds anaphylaxis response, spinal management, stroke and diabetic emergencies, and more advanced wound and fracture care. It is required by Ontario O.Reg 1101 for higher-risk workplaces and organisations with 5 or more employees. If you're unsure which to take, call us and we'll help you confirm.
Yes. A temporary Red Cross certificate is provided the same day you complete your in-person skills session — valid immediately for employer submission. Your permanent digital certificate is emailed within 2–4 business days and is valid for 3 years from the date of your in-person training.
Bring a valid photo ID and wear comfortable, moveable clothing — you'll be on the floor practising CPR, applying bandages, and performing first aid skills. It helps to bring water and a light snack, and to arrive 10 minutes early to complete sign-in. Proof of online theory completion will be verified by the instructor before the skills session begins.

Yes — CPR Level C and AED are fully integrated into the Emergency First Aid course. You will practise CPR on adult, child, and infant mannequins, operate a training AED, and use a pocket mask for rescue breathing. There is no need to take a separate CPR/AED course if you are registering for Emergency First Aid.
