Every Red Cross first aid course covers adult, child and infant CPR, AED use, choking, severe bleeding, shock, burns, head and spinal injuries, fractures, and sudden medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies and anaphylaxis. CPR training focuses on cardiac and breathing emergencies, while BLS adds healthcare-level skills like two-rescuer CPR and bag-valve-mask ventilation.
Attend the full course, demonstrate the skills and pass the knowledge evaluation. You leave with a temporary certificate the same day, and your official Canadian Red Cross digital certificate is emailed within 2–4 business days ready to send to your employer or school.

Register for a Red Cross Standard or Emergency First Aid course, complete the online portion (blended) or attend in class, and pass the skills evaluation. You receive a temporary first aid certificate the same day and the official digital certificate within 2–4 business days.
CPR training covers chest compressions, rescue breaths and AED use for cardiac and breathing emergencies. First aid training includes CPR plus bleeding, burns, fractures, choking, sudden medical emergencies and scene management. Most Ontario workplaces require Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
BLS HCP Full Training is $60 and BLS Renewal is $55 in Mississauga, Hamilton and St. Catharines. The course is about 4 hours and the Red Cross BLS certificate is valid for 1 year.
