Same-Day Temporary Certificate

As soon as your skills session ends, you receive a temporary Canadian Red Cross certificate. The official digital version then arrives by email within 2–4 business days and, after that, stays valid for 3 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

CPR AED Certification Mississauga FAQs

Below is everything you need to know before you register. If you don't see your question, contact us or check our full FAQ page.

Course, Levels & Certification

What's the difference between CPR Level A and CPR Level C? +

CPR Level A covers adults only, whereas CPR Level C β€” our most popular option β€” covers adults, children, and infants. In addition, Level C includes AED training and is required by most Ontario workplaces, schools, and healthcare programs. So, if you're unsure which to take, Level C is the right choice for broader confidence and compliance.

Is this course WSIB approved and Red Cross certified? +

Yes. Because AFAGT is an authorized Canadian Red Cross training provider, our CPR / AED courses satisfy WSIB and O.Reg 1101 First Aid Regulation workplace compliance requirements in Ontario. As a result, certificates are accepted by employers across Ontario and Canada.

How long does the blended CPR / AED course take? +

In short, the blended format combines self-paced online theory β€” typically completed at home in a few hours β€” with one focused in-person skills day at our Mississauga location. Also, you can access your online modules immediately after registering and then finish them on your own schedule before the class date.

How long is the CPR / AED certification valid? +

Your Canadian Red Cross CPR / AED certificate is valid for three years, while BLS/HCP certificates are valid for one year. After expiry, you'll need the full course rather than a recertification, because you must hold a valid, non-expired Red Cross certificate to recertify.

Logistics, Location & Group Training

Where is your Mississauga training location? +

Our CPR AED certification Mississauga classes run at 39 Dundas St E, Unit 206, Mississauga, ON L5A 1V9. In addition, the facility has easy access from the QEW, Hwy 403, and Mississauga Transit. Also, Port Credit GO Station is nearby, and street parking is available.

Do I receive my certificate the same day? +

Yes. As soon as you complete your in-person skills session, a temporary Red Cross certificate is issued to you. Your official digital certificate then follows by email within 2–4 business days and stays valid for 3 years.

What do I need to bring to the in-person skills day? +

First, wear comfortable clothes suitable for kneeling and floor work. In addition, bring valid photo ID and proof of online module completion. Otherwise, everything else β€” CPR manikins, AED trainers, and protective barriers β€” is provided by AFAGT at no extra cost.

Can my whole team or company train together? +

Absolutely. We offer group and on-site training for businesses, daycares, schools, construction companies, and community organizations. In fact, we can bring the course to your location anywhere in Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Etobicoke, or the broader GTA. Simply contact us for a custom group quote.
