The Canadian Red Cross First Responder Course is designed for professional first responders and individuals entering emergency medical services. It delivers essential pre-hospital care competencies through video, demonstrations, hands-on skills practice, structured discussion, and real-life scenario-based learning. For example, you practise realistic medical and trauma scenarios before your final evaluation.
All sessions are led by certified Canadian Red Cross instructors with real-world emergency experience. Because training is delivered in small groups, you get more hands-on practice time and personalised feedback.
The course runs fully in-class at our Mississauga training centre over four consecutive days, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In addition, all equipment, such as manikins, AED trainers, immobilisation devices, and trauma supplies, is provided.
The First Responder Course is open to everyone, because no prior training is required. However, it is particularly valuable for those in the following roles.
