What is the Basic Life Support (BLS) course?
The BLS course is designed for healthcare providers and professional responders. It covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use of AEDs, airway management, team response, and optional oxygen therapy.
Who should take this course?
This course is ideal for doctors, nurses, paramedics, medical and nursing students, and anyone working in healthcare or clinical settings who may need to respond to cardiac or respiratory emergencies.
How long is the course?
The BLS–HCP course is a 4-hour, in-person training session at our Hamilton location.
Do I get certified after completing the course?
Yes. Successful participants receive a 1-year digital certification from the Canadian Red Cross, valid across healthcare settings in Canada.
What is the cost of the course?
The standard BLS course is $60 CAD, while recertification is $55 CAD.
Do I get my Red Cross certificate the same day

Can I renew my BLS certification here?
